Those days.

Today started off normal enough, me waking up at 5... two hours after I had planned to. I planned to wake up early to blaze up some of my Distributed Systems assignment that was due today... effectively build a super-cool website.

At five, I realised my sister was on the computer. No worries, she's got something to do, and how long could this take anyway? So I sit and play a little FreeBubbles on my cell phone, trying to get anywhere close to Aaron or Lauren's scores. Of course, I didn't. Their high score is 1010, and their low score is 758. I probably made a mid-600 score.

So, I stay at this for about... an hour and a half, waiting for my sister. At about 6:30, I hop on my 'puter, and load up my files. I finally figured out what stopped my database connection... not that you care or anything, but I had put "' on the page instead of '", and forgot a +.

There we go, shazam.

Now, to build the functionality around my new found "persistent storage"... thingy. I don't want to bore myself, far less whoever had the misfortune to stumble upon this, so I'll say it was a challenge. Fun, but challenging. At about 9:30 the cellie goes ring.

"Hello?" I ask. On the other end is Orlando. Seems Ronneil didn't get the "Add to Cart" function to work. An aside: Khevan thinks "Add to Cart", the phrase, has an annoying sound and I agree.

"I'll finish up and get up there about 10:00", says me. It soon became 10:30, and I was still at home, unbathed and undressed. I hop in the shower, get dressed, copy the required files, grab the trusty pendrive and I'm off.

It's raining enough that the windows need to be up, and I have no air-conditioning. I'm doing about 100 kmph, about the day's average. Suddenly, Captain Intellect pulls out in front of me doing about 50.

Applied brakes, wheels lock. "Wheee!". The speedo dropped to 40 kmph, but that's because the wheels weren't really turning. When I broke the skid, I could smell the heated rubber.

Got to school, and it's crappy food in the cafeteria. "You have potato roti?". The nice lady behind the counter said yes, so I grabbed one for me and one for Bongo... it happened t be the last. Yay.

Then, into the programming lab at about 11:30, and programming the very same website... linking pages, synching the appearances, and, of course, the "Add to Cart", which worked, and stopped working, and started working, randomly, at different points of the day, until we of the Fantiques group finally fixed it, for once and for all, about one minutes before presenting, or one minute before every-single-other-group had gone.

I think we did a great job, except it was about 5:00... so 11:30 to 5:00 of programming, no real breaks other than a minute or two in between.

Home time, an hour and something late. About quarter past 5, I'm to my car. I see my parklights on.

Oh, Fox.

Yup, dead battery.

I got me a jump, and we're on our way.

Down through the back roads we go, and the road's still a bit wet. Of course, water covers everything, and I can't particularly see THROUGH the brown colour. I hear a wham and it's clearly a BHC: Big Hole Collision... nope, it's not done there.
